Energy Grant Preparation is in Full Swing at Several School Districts

Did you know that Illinois School Districts are eligible to receive up to $250,000 from the State of Illinois in Energy Efficiency Grants? We have been busy helping several of our clients evaluate their facilities for features that can be submitted to the State as part of this program. A few examples of modifications that are allowed include:

• Simple solutions to modify window and door systems that reduce energy
      consumption; for example, storm windows or doors, caulking or weather
      stripping
• Energy efficiency improvements for lighting and HVAC systems
• Energy recovery/conservation measures that provide long-term cost
      reductions; for example, automated/computerized energy control
      systems

We are currently assisting our clients with completing and submitting the required forms and are hopeful that they will receive the full benefits of the Energy Efficiency Grant Program.
