Prince of Peace Catholic Church
Lake Villa, Illinois

Prince of Peace set out in 2001 to create a long range master plan in order to best accommodate its growing parish, using a phased approach to reach their goals. The complete Master Plan includes conceptual designs and budgets for a new Parish Administration Center, Parish meeting facility, gymnasium, school expansion, and a new worship facility with an 1100-seat church and 200-seat daily mass chapel.

Construction on the new worship space is substantially complete, with most interior furnishings, including pews, fixtures and equipment installed. Other amenities include much improved acoustics and refurbished stained glass. The Parish community celebrated mass in the expanded church for the first time on Ash Wednesday, and will continue to attend services there now that the space is almost complete.

Highlights of Phase I include:

•  Interim Gathering Space Addition
•  Worship Space Expansion with new
    lighting and finishes
•  New Bell Tower and Cloister
•  Consolidated Parish Offices
•  Custom Baptismal Font
•  Parking Expansion
